This space used to be my distraction.
I opened the “write a post” window an hour ago and got distracted by other things: The Roots on my iPod, new ways to hide my Internet surfing while studying a spreadsheet, making arrangements for my kids to spend the night at my dad’s.
This week has been rough. Buttercup is in full tilt teenager mode. Talk about distraction. She can’t concentrate on much else besides doing the exact opposite of what I’m asking her to do. Do you guys remember New Boy? (I feel not like linking to the previous posts…sorry) He’s on his way to being Previous Boy if I can get my way quickly enough. I actually had to call his mother to ask for her help in keeping him away from my girl who wants to learn things the very hard way. This is the shitty part of being a mother. I wish I were on a sailboat as my kids are instead very much the responsibility of their grandparents. Damn the day those maternity tests came back positive.
When I was at NASA, my personal email was blocked. It’s not blocked here at the new gig. Thanks for all the nice emails you guys have been sending to check in with me, check in on me. I am fine, the kids are fine, Q is naked on a chaise lounge out on the patio. It’s all good. You guys are awesome.
