Hey, no…be not dismayed. I’m not about to list 100 of the most “exciting” things about me.
Just using that title to tell you I changed my dynamic 25 Most Played playlist to 100 Most Played and I am wondering what took me so long to become part of the goodness of playing 100 of my current favorite songs while cleaning my apartment.
Yes, most people when it’s time to pack just get right to the packing. I have to clean first. Not because of the perfectionist thing. I claim no perfection when it comes to organization. I’m cleaning first because it’s a mess around here. Instead of packing from off the floor, I think I want to organize it and, dunno, wash a dish or two before moving everything to the new apartment.
Did you know you can take your handwash only laundry to the dry cleaners and the cleaners will hand wash them for you? You could have slapped me silly when I overheard this woman bringing in her beaded sweater and asking specifically for Rodrigo to wash it for her because Rodrigo always does such a good job on her stuff. While the woman and Rodrigo proceeded to engage in oral sex on the counter, I ran home and grabbed all my sweaters and hand wash only shirts. Who the fuck knew this and never told me? I pay people to do stuff I do not like to do. I need a hand wash only t-shirt that declares that in bold print.
So I promised the kids that if they helped me clean up today, I’d take them to the movies in the morning for Horton Hears A Who. Which I just figured out today is not Horton Hatches The Egg, my favorite Dr Seuss book. Anyway, Jon Alex has been sick, so he was unavailable for cleaning and very good for lying still and complaining. Jordan got her laundry together. Then my dad called. My “help” is now at the grandparents eating barbeque and watching The Temptations biography for their 1,000th viewing. My dad’s house is always spotless, so they are doing no cleaning while there. Ask me later if we end up going to the movies anyway. I’m waffling.
