this must be what an
acid trip feels like…

Watching HD Jeopardy at midnight with the sound turned off. So bright and flashy and trippy. I shall ask Alex Trebek to remove his purple hair spiral as it is blocking my view of the gooley hit monsters.

So, yeah, somehow, I fucked up my previous blog template.

I wanted to change the font family. It was so hard to read. A series of  misguided adventures and several additional fuck later, I have settled on this one. I like it better, I think. It’s a little less in your tech-face and softer. Plus, the modification suggestions are much easier to understand as is the .

Until my knight rescues me, this template will serve the purpose quite nicely. I’ve been working on this effing blog since 5 o’clock yesterday evening. Seven hours. I almost forgot to post.

The first day of school went well for the kids if not so much for me. They both came home excited and waving a bunch of papers at me that had to be filled out right then. Next year, I am printing sticky labels with my name, address, phone and email then sticking them on the 1,000 pieces of paper that each asked me for the same exact information. Schools don’t use databases, I take it, and can’t say I blame them. I myself am quite attached to the plastic box of colored index cards with my contacts’ info that I’ve been carrying around from place to place since 1947. It’s quite soothing, this space we call the 20th century. Mmmm comfy.

I’m going to bed now. Leave me a note that says you stopped by while I was asleep. Sign it Betty.

There was this one time that I had to be the lady sending forms home to the parents of all my kids and had to answer the question, “Why can’t you get this information from the office?” with the answer, “If you knew how hard it was to get current information from the school office, you wouldn’t ask me that question.” Schools aren’t so good at moving information around, if you know what I mean.

I like the new template. It is easier to read.

    Love, Betty.

Save those free address labels you get from charities and use them next time.

Big props on the new template, from Betty

Thanks, Bettys! I may play around with it some, but no major code changes. I have finally learned my lesson.
