This week passed fairly quickly, maybe because I had plans outlined for each day.
I use Remember the Milk Pro for my list keeping, and I am slightly enamored with Evernote, the iPhone and Web app that allows me to capture digital notes and photos in the cloud for later reference. Damn, I just remembered I forgot to order Jordan’s cupcakes for her birthday party on Saturday. These systems are only as good as the users. Argh…
Today, perhaps, will be my very first “having lunch with @xxxxx” tweet. I am very excited about meeting @JaneDevin for three reasons:
- @voixdemichele introduced us and Michele has never ever steered me wrong
- Jane is a writer, and she is criss-crossing the country fueled by donations and sponsorships writing a book about her travels and the people she’s meeting along the way
- I’m getting out of the house even if I’ll still have the baby with me and, very likely, the Older Ones due to early school dismissal for the MLK holiday. I hope Jane won’t mind a quick trip to the bakery.
I will do my best to be witty and to show up with my hair combed and teeth brushed. If Jane can wait until Jordan gets home from school, I will also be freshly showered with hair that smells like freesia.
Michele has a fundraising project that needs your support. No, not the moral kind by which you send positive thoughts. The money kind. Five dollars, you know you have it. Please read about the cause here and here. Let me order your steps for the next few minutes: donate five dollars to the theatre, then send ten dollars by SMS to 90999 for the Haiti disaster relief fund. Out of that $20 bill, you’ll still have enough for your daily Starbucks. How can you not help?
No excuses in comments…
One of my bestest friends is up in Mini so I will for sure donate!
I hope your meeting with Jane went well! She’s lovely. Thanks for the linkage!
TitC, every little bit will help. Stop by Michele’s blog to say hi.
Michele, thanks for sharing Jane with us!
