I am good for that. I miss all the office gossip, gripes and tantrums because I can’t hear any of it while wearing my earbuds.
At one job, I even had a playlist named specifically for the marketing department and its loud Monday morning weekend updates. I absolutely did not care about their sons’ soccer games and their daughters’ gymnastic camps. After one episode of pure psychosis brought on by the madness, Q gave me noise-canceling, over-the-ear headphones to drown everybody out. These days, he and I both use Bose in-ear headphones. Mine are out for repair, which is just as well. Let’s not start the new gig behind a wall of Dwight Yoakam and Guster.
I’ll try to send you guys a smoke signal sometime today to let you know how it’s going. As long as my former director doesn’t show up unexpectedly, I’ll be fine.
Until then, think of me as you dance to Check Yes Juliet. I love this song.
In honor if the Winter Games I just read your post in Finnish thanks to your translator!
Happy New Job!

To quote one of my favorite ’80s movies: Play nice with the other kids, and be home before dark.
Checking in quickly to say everything is going well, although I keep looking behind me for my headboard. This swivel chair isn’t nearly as comfy as my mattress. I’ve been vertical for nearly 10 hours!
Following you from Follow each other in blogs. I’d love a follow back! thanks
