Remember when you were little, playing in your backyard…
…and there was this mysterious ton of bricks over in the corner, so just out of curiosity and precisely because you knew you shouldn’t, you turned over a few of those bricks and watched a swarm of carpenter ants handling their business underneath? You stared for a few minutes, then placed the brick back where you’d found it, albeit a little askew.
I’m that carpenter ant. That load of bricks isn’t as heavy as it looks, but it’s still there, and I’m working beneath it.
Send cookies. I’ll have more news for you later…
So what big kid lifted the brick to find you beneath? I’m super duper curious!!

I really appreciate that, Galit.
I was here yesterday (w/leftover chicken-wing dip & cheap tortillas) and I couldn’t post a comment. I just froze up and am sure I squatted for awhile.
Today’s a little better…although my modem is still a day out, getting a weak signal nonetheless.
Hoping the colony is working with you.

What a lovely continued metaphor sentiment. Yes, the kids are wonderful and Q is doing what he can to help. The colony is the least of my worries!
